Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Remove A 5-Year-Old Pilar Cyst From A Woman's Scalp

  • In her newest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper pops a cyst she compares to a macadamia nut.
  • The cyst is actually a pilar cyst, which is typically found on the head or scalp and is filled with keratin.
  • Dr. Pimple Popper doesn’t cut the cyst open in this one, but she does completely remove it from the woman’s head.

Dr. Pimple Popper has a bizarre habit of comparing cysts (aka nasty stuff) to certain foods (delicious things). And, in her latest Instagram video, she’s cracking into a pilar cyst, which she calls a “Macadamia nut.”

“It seems like the head is full of Mixed Nuts!” she captioned the video. “Here’s a nice Macadamia nut for ya! #nice #pilarcyst #drpimplepopper.”

ICYMI, a pilar cyst is a common type of cyst filled with excess keratin and shed skin tissue. It’s usually found on the head, scalp, face, and neck and, in this video, it seems like it’s right in the middle of a woman’s scalp.

The video starts with the patient’s scalp cut wide open, as per usual. Dr. Pimple Popper’s all up in there with scissors and a scalpel, and she pokes around for a bit before getting to the main show: the squeezing.

She starts pressing around the incision, and a glob that looks suspiciously like an eyeball starts poking out. “You want to see the video, I’m sure,” Dr. Pimple Popper says to the patient. “This is a nice Macadamia nut!” (The patient started laughing, so there’s that.)

Once the cyst has popped out of the patient’s scalp enough, Dr. Pimple Popper starts snipping at the base, which, btw is massive. Finally, the thing is free, and then we learn that this has been growing for eons. “Five years of waiting…” the patient can be heard saying. So, just to recap: She had a massive eyeball-sized cyst hanging out in her head for five years. (OMG.)

Dr. Pimple Popper didn’t pop the actual cyst this time (bummer). Still, you might want to avoid eating mixed nuts while watching this one—especially those of the macadamia variety.
